Wood carving is another ancient & beautiful traditional art in Sri Lanka. It reflects the ancient history of Sri Lanka. Wood carving relates to old eras in Sri Lanka, during the Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa, and Kandyan periods. This wood-carving art displays old Ceylonese cultural & religious stories.
